Dr. Sugata Samanta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, India. His research interests encompass various areas including crystal structure analysis and photophysical studies of molecular charge transfer complexes, photophysical aspects of supramolecules and their complexes with lanthanide ions, and the photophysics of ESIPT probes in the presence of different organized assemblies such as cyclodextrins, micelles, and reverse micelles.

Dr. Amit Saha (M.Sc, Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, Surendranath College, Kolkata under The University of Calcutta. He joined this college in the year 2016 and has over sixteen years of teaching experience. He first joined Department of Botany, Banwarilal Bhalotia College, Asansol in the year 2005 which is a constituent college under The University of Burdwan. His areas of research interest are Ethnobotany, Medicinal plants and Microbiology. A teacher cum researcher, Dr. Saha has published fifteen research articles and book chapters in the journals and books of National and International repute and there are many to be followed. He has also given many oral presentations in various symposiums and attended many national and international conferences, seminars, webinars, lecture series and workshops. He is also a life member of the Botanical Society of Bengal, University of Calcutta.

His current research topic is Carbon thin Film, Graphene, Graphene Oxide base nano Composite, Synthesis Characterization and Application in Environmental, Biological and Technological field. He was a convener of India Post Sponsored International Seminar “Innovation, Expansion, Impacts and Challenges in Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICBS-2020)” on 8th and 9th January 2020, organized by Department of Chemistry, Surendranath College, Kolkata, India, and some other various international conference and events. His area of research includes Cosmological reionization, Galaxy formation and Dark Matter. He got Young Astronomer of the Year 2013 Award by the Astronomical Society of India and the INSPIRE Faculty Award by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India in 2017.

Mr. Sourav Misra is currently working as a faculty in Department of Chemistry, Surendranath College. He has obtained both of his BSc (Hons in Chemistry) in 2016 and MSc (Specialization in Inorganic chemistry) in 2018 from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara under West Bengal State University. She wrote a practical book (Zoology in Laboratory, Volume 1) which is based on recent CBCS syllabi of many Universities of Kolkata.

Sri Subhrangshu Hait is doing his bachelor degree of physics from Surendranath College under University of Calcutta. He loves to study as well as do various electrical practicals intelligently in our departmental physics lab. Apart from Physics, he has interests in photography, gardening.
After completing her graduation from Presidency College, Kolkata with Honours in Chemistry, Suchandra did her masters from University of Calcutta with specialization in Physical Chemistry, followed by her doctoral research work at Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata on Photochemistry and Molecular Spectroscopy as a CSIR Fellow.
